My Dream: My Future

“Climb every mountain, ford every stream, and follow every rainbow, till you find your dream.”

One day, I surfed the net. I got curious about the most stunning cities in the world and the most exquisite resorts…and I had a desire to make it there.

Aside from those mentioned above, 15 years from now, I visualize myself a successful accountant with a happy family and peaceful life. By that time, I wish that I had lifted my family to better life. Personally, I dream to experience the feeling of being satisfied, having no worries and secured after my long-time sacrifices in the battlefield of my life.

In the future, I want to travel around the world with my family and perhaps, the girl who would be my lifetime partner. I want that my dream house won’t just be a dream but will come into reality, someday. Hopefully, my family will be more unified at all times especially when we are down. I also look forward that that my family will live possessing love that is unconditional and never-ending or interminable. I also yearn that in our family, our respect won't be diminished.

In reaching my dreams, I have to work hard. I need not to win in every battle in my life. Anyway, the moves and the steps getting to those castles in the air are those that matter most. I got to be strong to the struggles I will face. Of course, I will have a stronger faith in God.

Make the World Better

Being a responsible student leader – that’s my stepping stone to make a change and a difference in my school, in my community, and preferably, in the whole country.
The 7th National Leadership Training for Student Government Officers held at Baguio City on September 2009 imparted many ideas regarding on my leadership skills together with the other student leaders. It was very helpful on our part especially in leading a very large number of students in ISNHS. Also, during the same training, we had the “Ako ang Magsisimula ng Pagbabago” campaign…and the Supreme Student Government in our school introduced it to the whole studentry. It only proves that the spirit of the NLTSGO never fades even the training ended.
I may not always do all the duties and responsibilities in my school as student leader. But, in my very simple way, something like picking candy wrappers around the campus, it may cause a domino effect. If someone saw my deed, he may do the same, and if another someone saw the deed of that someone, he may also do the same until everybody in this world had made a difference – a change for development. By following all the rules and regulations of the school, young people can make progress.
As a member of a community, I can also make a transformation through promoting peace. Love and respect each other. Peace is really possible when everyone possesses love and respect. Love is not as simple as tenderness, for it is unconditional and ceaseless. It makes the community cohesive through thick and thin; because love is tantamount to care. In pursuit of peace, respect must not be taken for granted. By recognizing the value of every member of the community, genuine appreciation is felt. Thus, each one shows consideration towards each other. This only proves that love and respect are ways to make one community a peaceful legion. If we can make this work in our community, it can also be achieved by the whole country.
Be MAD – Make A Difference!

Hours Spent Yesterday

I’m now step closer to my graduation. Another chapter of my high school life had just ended. I’m getting there.

Anyway, I wanna recall some of the happenings during the third quarter.

There were times that I hadn’t attended my classes this quarter due to some extra-curricular activities. I missed lessons which gave me difficulties. There were days I reviewed with other quizzers to represent our school in the division during the Science Festival. A day also to stand for our school in the Science Summit held at PSHS, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur.

But I tell you, I still learned much this quarter. In ICT IV alone, I came to know how to design a web page thru the MS Frontpage software. But, sometimes, I’d hate to do it because of some malfunctions of our computer. It trained my patience! I also encountered the different font attributes, image attributes, href attributes to enhance the html links. I found it hard especially, we need to use the right tags and other stuffs during our hands-on activities.

On the other hand, aside from those learnings I had behind the four walls of our classroom, I enjoyed also the life-changing experiences. There was once a situation which I have to sacrifice. Just after our third periodic exam, we worked on our documentary showcasing the humble beginnings of ISNHS. With my colleagues, we even had to sleep for a night in our school just to accomplish it. (Actually, it was a SLEEPLESS NIGHT for me, really.)

Personally, I evaluate this quarter easier than the previous one. I had better study habits this time and I hope to continue it for the last grading…and I wish to take the right steps to which way I go.
